Somatic Voice Journey

(Sunday, 16:00 – 17:30 – Orangerie)

Hosted by Harald Stojan

Following a grounding warm-up to open our body and senses, we go through a somatic vocal warm-up that leads us from unvoiced sounds to vocal sounds of high expressivity. Focusing on the sensation of vibration and resonance throughout, we will be ending the session with a guided voice journey through our own bodies. We will work in solo and duo and with consensual touch. Open-level, all-abilities – no pre-knowledge required.

Somatic Voice is a practice that foregrounds the experiences and sensations of the body aiming at empowering and expanding your personal expressive potential in life and art.

Harald Stojan (he/they) is working as a choreographer, performer, sound-artist and teacher in the Berlin freelance scene. After finishing a degree in experimental music and composition he started an education in somatic dance and voice. His work and teaching focuses on transgressing limiting social norms with a queer and somatically embodied approach.
