Presencing with queer objects

(Sunday, 10:00 – 11:30- Workshop Tent)

Hosted by Eddy Levin McGrath

We will embark on a series of playful rituals, embracing the wisdom of the physical – our bodies, hand-held objects and the collective space as our container. There will be an embodied warm-up of grounding movements and sensory exercises, and then we will work in pairs to set intentions, and move through them accompanied by special hand-crafted queer objects. Miniature playgrounds, moving altars and little puzzles emerge, helping us think/feel and presence through play.

Eddy Levin is an artist and somatic bodyworker from Tkaronto/Toronto living in Berlin. Their creative work orients towards liberation and healing through vulnerability, improvisation, movement and magic. Channels include dance, sound arts, somatics and group facilitation for deep listening, queer neurodivergent expression, slowing down, and personal/communal transformation. They are committed to collectively understanding of how intergenerational trauma and intersections of systemic oppressions are held in the body and can be attended to together.
