Waifu / Slick

Toyo, 2019 / Tokyo, 2020

WAIFU started from an incident in which one of our members was turned away from a women-only party for being a trans woman. We were already conscious of the lack of spaces in Tokyo for trans and gender non-conforming people; this incident immediately moved us into action organizing. The first WAIFU happened less than two weeks later.

SLICK is a collective organizing queer, sex-positive raves where all open-hearted people are welcome, and everyone in the party is chosen family for that one night, or maybe much longer.
