Ubax’s goal is to keep dancers sweating and smiling with bass heavy, booty bouncing sounds. Growing up in London, she was surrounded by Jungle, Drum and Bass, UK garage, and Grime, but it was in Berlin that her nostalgia for bass music led her to start DJing. As a recent graduate of the Femme Bass Mafia mentorship programme, Ubax draws inspiration from South Africa, Brazil, and the UK, showcasing a diverse range of sonic influences in her sets that blend old skool tunes with new sounds.
